Nimrat Shergill

Registered Clinical Counsellor

The World Health Organization describes mental health as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, copes with the normal stresses of life, works productively and contributes to his or her communities. Good mental health is much more than the absence of mental illness – it enables people to experience life as meaningful and to be creative, productive members of society.”

Having a good mental health allows you to effectively deal with the everyday life stressors, engage well with others, make healthy choices and enjoy life to the fullest. But sometimes, struggles with mental illnesses and addiction can make it seem like achieving healthy mental state is impossible.

I am Nimrat, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with 12+ years of experience in mental health counselling. Over the past decade, I have worked with people facing such problems. Working in two different continents and with a wide variety of clients from different age groups and backgrounds. I respect the fact that everybody is special, and try to understand their particular needs, communicating with them in English, Punjabi and Hindi. I would be available at Richmond Counselling to help you get through present difficult time and also to make plans for a better tomorrow.
